Holistic Healing Through Acupuncture

Dr. Christine Farrell-Riley is a medical doctor, board certified in Family Medicine and certified in Medical Acupuncture by the University of New England.

From the time of her graduation from medical school, she always felt that something had been missing from her education. Whenever she could, she attended conferences on "complementary and alternative medicine", as it was called at the time. She learned how these different healing methods could be of benefit to her patients and strove to integrate those approaches to her Family Medicine practice.

In 2007 she attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and got a certificate in Health Counseling.

She had a health counseling practice from 2007 to 2013 . During that time she also received level 1 and 2 Reiki certification, received training in "Tapas Acupressure Technique", and got certified in hypnotherapy.

Through all this time she has continued to practice conventional medicine at a community health center, in recent years working mainly in the urgent care. From 2013-2021 she also offered group visits in stress managment at the health center.

To quote her: "I feel that my study of acupuncture has pulled together all that I have been learning and experiencing since graduating medical school all those years ago.

As a medical doctor I am able to understand your problem from a Western medicine point of view and with my acupuncture training I can offer another perspective on how you can acheive your health goals. It is my intention for my clients to not only obtain relief from symptoms of pain but also to achieve optimal wellness and balance. Our bodies are amazing and always striving to heal. Acupuncture taps into that well of healing and can bring it to the surface."
